GG’s Creation Station: The Sublimation Art Experience

The Sublimation Art Experience by GG’s Creation Station is a 4-day, STEAM-integrated residency that introduces students to the science and creativity behind sublimation printing. Blending visual arts with physical science, this hands-on workshop engages students in designing and producing their own custom artwork using sublimation techniques and equipment. Aligned with North Carolina Science and Visual Arts standards, the program emphasizes student creativity, scientific inquiry, and personal expression. Each participant completes a unique, take-home art piece—such as a t-shirt, mug, or pencil pouch—while gaining a foundational understanding of phase changes, particularly sublimation. This engaging residency supports cross-curricular learning and builds confidence through real-world art-making.

Learn and create with professional teaching artist, Jeannette Brossart! Students will use multi-colored square tiles and grid trays, for this hands-on experience which can incorporate math (patterning, sorting, counting, array, length/width, area/perimeter, fractions), literacy, and art. The resulting work can be displayed for students, teachers and families.  Jeannette is uniquely qualified as a teaching artist to work with your group to facilitate an experience for every participant.  The residency can be designed with accommodations for specific disabilities or other learning needs.
