“End Racism Now” Mural Painted by Volunteers with CAM Raleigh, Raleigh, June 13, 2020, part of “In the Moment Exhibition”

The arts are a fundamental part of a vibrant community. That’s why we work with schools and organizations to create events that enrich the lives of our neighbors across Wake County.

  • United Arts is proud to partner with the Wake County Public School System for Pieces of Gold , featuring 1,000 Wake County Public School System students singing, dancing, and performing to a packed Memorial Auditorium each March.
  • Big Night In for the Arts, celebrating the arts in the Triangle, raised funds for arts programming, initiatives for equity in the arts, and arts relief efforts in Wake, Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties.
  • Our flagship program, Artists in the Schools, begins with the  Artists in Schools Expo in August, bringing together artists and community members who schedule cultural arts programming.
  • In the Moment exhibition with Wake County’s 2019-2020 Artist in Residence Christopher Janaro’s photographs of Wake County’s artistic landscape.
