Kelly Schrader is a twenty-something verging on thirty-something Raleigh transplant with a varied career in the visual arts. In addition to their artistic practice as a muralist, screen printer, and fiber artist, Schrader spends most of their time working on community projects. From collaborating with local artists and organizations on interactive and educational programs, to creating engaging public murals while mentoring student artists, their work has an intentional focus on building community and creating accessible art. Schrader is the founder of Durham-based Pop Swap Fest, co-founder of Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub, and is currently serving on the boards for Girls Rock NC and North Raleigh Arts & Creative Theatre.
