Connecting Wake County
Through the Arts

As the local designated arts agency for Wake County, United Arts prioritizes its duty to utilize the arts as a tool for community connection.

Our community initiatives support local municipalities through grant making to support local arts initiatives including but not limited to murals, festivals, public art installations, and classes. We also support municipalities through our Wake Murals program that was created to ensure that every municipality in Wake County had a mural installation that represented the people, history, and environment unique to each municipality.

Additionally, we support the growth of the local creative sector through grants to arts organizations and artists and through our IDEAL internship program. Our hope is that through our financial support and partnership with the creative sector, that younger and smaller organizations will have resources to offer diverse and creative cultural programming for all Wake County residents.
