The Road Through Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell by photographer, oral historian, and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Theresa Scott. This deeply personal documentary exhibition explores the lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ veterans who served under restrictive military policies.

Through intimate portrait photography paired with first-person oral histories, Scott brings forward stories long silenced by institutional policy and cultural pressure. Drawing on her own service, she offers viewers an unflinching look at the realities faced by service members who were expected to serve with honor while hiding essential parts of who they were.
