Black Box Dance Theatre Company Choreography Concert

Black Box Dance Theatre is a collective of dancers, choreographers, and community-makers that boldly shape the Triangle dance scene. As a Raleigh-based nonprofit and professional modern dance company, our mission is to create transformative, human-centered dance experiences that connect communities, build courage, and inspire understanding.
This April 17th and 18th at 7PM, join us for two nights of celebration- witness the creation, collaboration, and connections formed by BBDT Company Choreographers through the origination of brand new dance works.
Featuring new works by Company Members: Cortney Vartanian, Kate Gupton, Payton Chopp, and Shadidja Parker, as well as an excerpt from a revived PATRIOT: We Lift Each Other, choreographed by Artistic Director, Michelle Pearson, and performed by BBDT Company Members in collaboration with female veterans.
Performance held in Kenan Recital Hall on William Peace University Campus.
This project is supported by United Arts Wake County, Raleigh Arts, and the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
