GREENWOOD FOREST BAPTIST CHURCH
110 SE Maynard Rd, Cary
The Concert Singers of Cary Chamber Choir performs beautiful music in a beautiful space. The first half of the concert features Michael John Trotta’s For A Breath of Ecstasy, a seven-movement celebration of the wondrous poetry of American Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, Sara Teasdale. Vivid imagery and moments of yearning, love, joy, and peace are revealed through an individual’s relationship to nature and in love. With Allen Bailey on piano and Bo Newsome on oboe.
The second half of the concert consists of exquisite choral favorites that take your breath away, including motets by Bruckner and Rheinberger, Tichelli’sThere Will Be Rest, Kirchner's arrangement of Bright Morning Stars, Harris' I am Loved, and more.
The CSC Chamber Choir is an advanced ensemble consisting of members of the CSC Symphonic Choir and additional local singers, including many public-school music teachers.
