Little Red and the Gingerbread Man

Little Red and the Gingerbread Man

Two tales rolled into one! This show combines two well-loved, classic tales to create an original, fun-filled romp through fairy tales. Join Little Red and she pursues a mischievous Gingerbread cookie through the woods to Grandma’s house. Original music, snowy scenery, and everyone’s favorite Big Bad Wolf make up this seasonal favorite for young audiences. This engaging show shares an alternate version to the traditional “Little Red Riding Hood.” By combining that familiar work with “The Gingerbread Man,” we demonstrate how stories can be changed and adapted. With a clearly delineated plot, teachers will be able to analyze the “text” of the show: plot, characters, setting, action, beginning, middle, end! Fun for pre-literacy connections and very relevant to young writers who are working on their own story adaptations and retellings.
