Collaborative Installation: Art and Science

Collaborative Installation: Art and Science

Through tailored, grade-appropriate residencies, students will learn about the mysteries of the natural world while creating a large scale piece of art! Using materials like fabric scraps, chicken wire, or recycled materials, students create biomorphic forms to help bring their learning to life. Emphasis is placed on creative reuse of materials, experimental sculpture and creative collaboration. The resulting work is typically large and very colorful and can easily be used as a legacy project. Pick a current program or work with Kid Lab to design a new one. Current program offerings: Coral Reef, Cartography, or Community Hive. The residency price includes a meeting with lead teachers to tailor the project to your classroom. Artist Background

We believe every kid needs a space where they can tinker with materials, play-test budding ideas and dream big! At Kid Lab, it’s our mission to facilitate experiences that give students opportunities to play, learn and create together. We do this through arts education, community partnerships and open labs designed for creative play.
