Join us for a free two-hour session where we’ll go over the basics of creative writing contests, give you resources for how to learn about contests, and help you prep your submission for the Coppice Prize, our annual short story competition, which will be open this year from March 1-March 31, 2025.

About the contest: writers are invited to submit unpublished short stories of up to 4,000 words. Entry is free, and the three winners will receive a cash prize, publication in our annual Coppice Prize anthology, and review from a literary agent. This year, the contest is specifically for writers who identify as marginalized or underrepresented.
