In partnership with the Raleigh Fine Arts Society and poet Dasan Ahanu, United Arts is pleased to announce the finalists of the 2025 High School Spoken Word Contest.

Students from schools in Wake, Durham, and Orange counties were invited to create an original spoken word poem and submit it as a video recording to be judged by Mr. Ahanu and a panel of experienced spoken word artists.

- 2nd place: Selina Sentosa Harjo, Green Hope High School, Invisible Hand
- 3rd place: Shia Raine Edwards, Enloe High School, A Taste of the Black Experience
