United Arts Council

Education

Participation in the arts fosters personal and social development, helping people develop new skills and connect with one another.

Because the arts positively impact schools and neighborhoods, we sustain numerous educational and community programs that bring the arts to Greater Wake County.

Our arts education programs support both students and educators. Artists in Schools brings professional teaching artists into Wake County schools to help students discover the arts, and Arts Integration for Educators provides inspiration and practical hands-on techniques for teachers to integrate the arts into their classrooms.

To learn more about our programs, contact Ragen Carlile at rcarlile@unitedarts.org or (919) 839-1498 ex. 209.
