In Real Time

Join D’Vorah Dance Arts for an intimate evening revealing the beauty of process. In Real Time offers a glimpse into what we have been working on in the studio and how our choreography evolves, set to original music composed by Christopher Scully-Thurston.
“This project is supported by United Arts Wake County, Raleigh Arts, and the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.”
The evening will also feature film screenings of three compelling works: Heartbeat Amplified by Masha Dashkina Maddux ; No Longer / Not Yet, an intimate observational documentary focusing on the moment just before stepping on stage by France-based artist Jacquelyn Elder; and Peep Portraits, which challenges the societal expectation that women constantly prioritize the needs of others by Rouge Dancer Productions
This curated evening invites you to experience professional dance and film in the heart of Downtown Wake Forest at the historic Corner of Wake Forest.
Dance Artists and collaborators: Beth Desmond, Elizabeth Karpov, Masha Dashkina Maddux, Julia Phu, Jennifer Scully-Thurston, and Kloe Tucker.
