Born and raised in the Dominican Republic\, Manolo brings deep roots in the Latin music industry\, having managed prominent artists throughout his career. Mairym is a beloved vocal coach at the Alli Mae Carnes Studio and a Spanish teacher who pours her passion for music and culture into everything she does. A local artist in her own right – equally at home on stage as a singer and actress – Mairym is also currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Essex in England\, deepening an already remarkable expertise. Together\, they have raised six children\, each gifted with remarkable musical talent. Joining them on stage tonight are four of those six.\nLanif is a singer\, songwriter\, and music producer who honed her craft at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Her artistry bridges tradition and innovation\, bringing a professional edge to everything she touches.\nAlondra is a true triple threat – a performer\, traveler\, and creative spirit who studied music at Berklee College of Music. She actively auditions for theater productions and brings a bold\, dynamic energy to every stage she graces.\nAaron is the family’s dancer\, currently training in the pre-professional department of the International Ballet Academy . Soon-to-be inducted into his high school’s National Honor Society\, Aaron was most recently seen as Rudolpho in Theatre Raleigh ACT’s production of “Matilda.”\nMyriam\, a dedicated middle schooler\, is a powerful dancer and emerging performer who also trains at the International Ballet Academy while pursuing film acting and regional theater auditions. We are hoping this event gives ALL children a chance to share their talents while helping others in their community. \nTheraFriends Community Partnership is a local nonprofit organization (therafriendscommunity.org). We aim to provide low to no cost therapy services (occupational & speech therapies) and related programs to children in the triangle. Jones Theatre\, Theatre Raleigh Arts Center \nDrew Gehling makes his Theatre Raleigh debut with a one-night only concert! \nCurrently starring as William Shakespeare in the Broadway production of & Juliet\, Greensboro native Drew originated the role of Dr. Pomatter on Broadway in the Waitress after helping develop the piece at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge\, MA during the summer of 2015. Drew also developed the new musical Almost Famous at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego\,later opening the musical on Broadway in the fall of 2022 . He joined the company of the award winning off-broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors for a limited engagement in 2023 and premiered a movie for Hallmark he co-wrote the story for with his dear buddy\, Kevin Duda. Concurrently\, the theatrical release of Waitress\, which premiered at the TriBeCa Film Festival has been universally acclaimed and continues to stream worldwide. On television and film\, Drew can be seen in HBO’s Succession\, 30 Rock \,Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt\, Smash\, Blue Bloods\, Chicago PD\, and A Good Person with Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman\, and more.
