High School Master Classes

Jason Karn at Athens Drive 2015
Tenor Jason Karn leads a master class at Athens Drive High School.

United Arts launched its high school master class program in 2015. Master classes offer opportunities for students to interact with professional artists for a short, intensive experience. After piloting this program to select high schools for two years, United Arts is pleased to announce that this opportunity is now open to all WCPSS high schools.

A selected visual or performing artist will spend one day at a participating high school and will teach up to three classes during normal class times. A portion of the proceeds from Pieces of Gold has been designated to pay for these master classes so that the programs are implemented at no cost to the schools.
