Congressional Art Competition for High School Students

United Arts is pleased to work with Rep. David Price’s office in the annual Congressional Arts Competition for high school students in the 4th U.S. Congressional District.

The first place winner’s art is hung for a year in the U.S. Capitol; the second place entry, in the 4th Congressional District’s Washington, D.C., office; third place, in the 4th Congressional District’s Raleigh office; and fourth, in the district’s Durham office. The first place winner is also eligible for a scholarship to the Savannah College of Art and Design.

A reception is held for all participants each spring. Special recognition is given to the teacher whose student is awarded first place in the competition. The winner is invited to Washington, D.C. for a ceremony with other national winners in June.
