United Arts Announces 2021 Artist Support Grants
[Raleigh, N.C.] – The United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County announces the investment of $83,853 in grants to 62 individual artists in Wake, Chatham, Harnett, Johnston, and Lee Counties.
With the support of the North Carolina Arts Council and Raleigh Arts, the 2021 Artist Support Grants were created to support individual artists during and following the COVID-19 pandemic. This opportunity, formerly known as Professional Development Grants, funds professional and artistic development for emerging and established artists in the genres of visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, and interdisciplinary arts.
“We are excited to be able to help artists, especially during these challenging times,” said Ragen Carlile, Vice President for Education and Community Programs at United Arts. “Now more than ever we need creative individuals to inspire us, enlighten us, and cross boundaries to bring us together through art.”
