FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 11, 2020

[Raleigh, NC]– The United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County invites artists from Chatham, Harnett, Johnston, Lee, or Wake County to apply for a 2021 Artist Support Grant up to $1,500.

With the support of the North Carolina Arts Council and Raleigh Arts, this opportunity was created to support individual artists during and following the COVID-19 pandemic. Formerly known as Professional Development Grants, the Artist Support Grants fund professional and artistic development for emerging and established artists to create work, improve their business operations, or bring their work to new audiences. Artist Support Grants support a broad range of talented artists in the genres of visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, and interdisciplinary arts.

Although not required, it is strongly recommended that applicants attend an application workshop to learn more about the grant process and tips on strengthening their application. All workshops will be held virtually via Zoom. Please register in advance for one of the below workshops through this online form.
