Come to our free Lineup Announcement live event on May 12\, part of our weekly Beer and Banjos concert at Bowstring Pizza and Brewyard in Raleigh. From 6:30-9 p.m.\, you’ll hear music from the Beer and Banjos All-Stars and guest band the Carolina Junebugs\, and we’ve got some extra fun in store as we unveil the festival lineup. \nIt’ll also be the first opportunity to buy our brand-new 2026 festival merch — yes\, our beloved banjo-hoisting squirrel will be prominently featured! \nBeer and Banjos is a free\, family-friendly evening of roots music every Tuesday at Raleigh’s Bowstring Pizza and Brewyard. Hosted by the mighty local musicians known collectively as the Beer and Banjos Allstars\, these weekly concerts feature guest musicians and take place on Bowstring’s spacious patio when the weather allows\, or inside by the bar when rain\, heat\, or cold threaten the vibe. \nTips for the musicians are gratefully accepted (look for a helper walking around with a bucket for cash and QR codes for online tips)\, and don’t forget to check out the merch table. Bowstring serves tasty pizza and other food as well as cold beer and other beverages. \nLearn more about Beer and Banjos events statewide here. \nA note about parking …\nParking at Bowstring Brewyard can fill up fast. If you arrive and find the parking lot full\, here are some options: \nPAY PARKING: Exit the Bowstring parking lot by turning right onto Wake Forest Road\, then quickly take a right (at the light) onto E. Whitaker Mill Rd. Turn right into the parking lot of the StorageMax and look for a kiosk to pay. \nFREE PARKING: Turn right out of the Bowstring parking lot and quickly turn left at the light onto E. Whitaker Mill Rd. Turn left into the parking lot of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk back to Bowstring from there.

The plays run simultaneously\, starting every half hour from 6-8pm\, so you can stroll from stage to stage and catch a different play at each one.

It will be inclusive\, diverse and reflect the entire city it’s intended to serve. \nRaleigh Wide Open is a name that dates back to 2006\, when downtown Raleigh experienced a cultural renaissance. Fayetteville Street re-opened to traffic\, and just a few years later\, the new Raleigh Convention Center opened its doors and Red Hat Amphitheater provided a vital new music venue. Since that time\, Fayetteville Street has been “Wide Open” for festivals\, bringing music\, art\, sports fans and neighbors together. Get things started with intimate sets from three of our lineup bands and a chance to meet and mingle with fellow bluegrass lovers at The Corner at NC State’s Centennial Campus. \nGates will open at 5:30 p.m.\, with music starting at 6 p.m. The evening will feature three phenomenal bands – Stillhouse Junkies\, Tray Wellington Band\, and the Barefoot Movement — all with deep ties to Raleigh’s downtown bluegrass festival tradition. \nParking on Centennial Campus is free after 5 p.m.\, with plenty available near The Corner\, a colorful outdoor space located at 941 Main Campus Drive\, at the intersection of Main Campus Drive and Research Drive. Bring your dancing shoes and get tuned up for Raleigh Wide Open! \nBeer and Banjos is a free\, family-friendly evening of roots music every Tuesday at Raleigh’s Bowstring Pizza and Brewyard. Hosted by the mighty local musicians known collectively as the Beer and Banjos Allstars\, these weekly concerts feature guest musicians and take place on Bowstring’s spacious patio when the weather allows\, or inside by the bar when rain\, heat\, or cold threaten the vibe. \nTips for the musicians are gratefully accepted (look for a helper walking around with a bucket for cash and QR codes for online tips)\, and don’t forget to check out the merch table.
