07-11-2015 to 07-11-2015 – Ten artists have created banners celebrating the cultural history of the East Raleigh-South Park National Historic District. Suspended on utility poles along Blount Street from Cabarrus Street to Shaw University, the banners will be on view June- Dec. 2015.Come for a dedication ceremony on Second Saturday, followed by a day of festivities including blackberry picking, a blackberry cooking demo, bike and walking tours, Shaw Summer Sizzles music festival, a tour of the historic Pope House and storytelling on African American traditions.
