DESCRIPTION:Join artist Nori McDuffie for a discussion about his photography exhibition on view at Artspace.\n\n\nJoin artist Nori McDuffie\, Gail Belvett\, and Artspace’s Artist Programs Manager Alexandra Jane for a discussion related to Nori’s solo exhibition A Taste of Your Love on view at Artspace from June 11-July 26. \nRather than being a lecture\, our artist talks invite the audience in for a shared small-group conversation. We will take a careful look at Nori’s works\, use visual thinking strategies to interpret\, and discuss some of the following topics: \n\nnarratives of love and dominance for dark-skinned individuals\nself-discovery and fluidity in gender and sexual identity\nthe roles of power and vulnerability in intimacy\n\nWe welcome anyone to our artist talks\, regardless of your knowledge of art or the exhibition’s themes. \n \nAbout Nori McDuffie \nNori McDuffie (b. 2001)\, born in Durham\, NC\, is an interdisciplinary artist who engages in various art forms such as photography\, curating\, archiving\, storytelling\, and experience-making. His work is a beautiful expression of his love\, admiration\, and reverence for Black culture\, tradition\, performance\, spirituality\, ephemera\, and the human experience. Nori aims to inspire\, challenge\, and encourage dialogue\, self-exploration\, and interrogation of the world. \n \nAbout Artspace \nArtspace is a non-profit visual arts center located in Downtown Raleigh.
