SUMMARY:Paint the Parks: Sandy Pines Preserve
DESCRIPTION:Artists are invited to come out to Sandy Pines Preserve to participate in the Paint the Parks: En Plein Air Celebration in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Wake County’s Park\, Recreation and Open Space system! Artists can paint anywhere that is not off-trail from park opening to 30 minutes before closing\, creating a piece that celebrates its unique features and beauty. The maximum canvas size for each painting is 16” width x 20” height\, but smaller sizes are also welcome. Each artist may submit one painting to the traveling art exhibition* and must drop off their artwork at Beech Bluff County Park by June 15th to be considered. The traveling exhibition will move to different Wake County Parks from July to December. Please note that artists must bring and use their own supplies and set up in a location that does not block access to any facilities. \n*Depending on the quantity of artwork submitted\, the artwork may be subject to a juried review to select which pieces will be included in the traveling art exhibition. Artists will be responsible for framing their work.
