DESCRIPTION:Join professional mixed-media artist C.J. Murphy for a holiday card making workshop that breaks away from tradition. (ages 13-18)\n\n\nBreak away from the ordinary and explore the connections between art and technology in a hands-on workshop led by professional artist C.J. Murphy. With mixed media art techniques and some nifty tech engineering using LED light elements\, participants will create bold and glowing designs that flip the script on tradition. Each participant will leave with a collection of unique\, handcrafted cards to share with friends and family—works of art that reflect creativity\, individuality\, and innovation. \nDesigned for ages 13-18. Murphy is a mixed media artist from Fayetteville\, North Carolina. His work centers on abstract interpretations of everyday life\, combining the religious and the cultural with the technological. He teaches and has shown work across the South in venues such as the NCMA\, 311 gallery\, and VAE.
