DESCRIPTION:The Joel Fund and Heart2Hand Veteran artist Lt. Colonel (retired)\, Bernardine Donato\, are excited to host the four-day art exhibit in partnership with Durham Art Guild at the Durham Bottling Co in Downtown Durham. \nThis art show will contain original pieces created by North Carolina Veterans of the United States Armed Forces. This family-friendly event will showcase art from North Carolina veterans of all backgrounds\, art levels\, and branches of service. \nThe hours to view the artwork are as follows:\nThursday\, Nov 14th\, 1 pm – 7 pm\nFriday\, Nov 15th\, 1 pm – 8 pm – During Third Friday Art Walk and Gallery Crawl\nSaturday\, Nov 16th\, 1 pm – 7 pm\nSunday\, Nov 17th\, 1 pm – 5 pm \nJoin us to celebrate and appreciate original military veterans’ artwork. \nIf you have any questions please contact Isabella Brezenski\nat 919 200 0886 or via email at isabella@thejoelfund.org.

SUMMARY:Triangle Wind Ensemble presents Masquerade
DESCRIPTION:Masquerade: a pretense… a disguise… a transformation?\nOpening with Nicole Piunno’s Bright Shadow Fanfare–this program is both fiery and mysterious\, sentimental and quixotic. Gustav Holst’s Hammersmith anchors this classic wind-band work in vivid memories of a colorful British town on the Thames river while Luis Serrano Alarcon’s Invocación transforms an earlier piano work by Isaac Albéniz into a fiery Latin ritual dance.
