DESCRIPTION:The Joel Fund and Heart2Hand Veteran artist Lt. Colonel (retired)\, Bernardine Donato\, are excited to host the four-day art exhibit in partnership with Durham Art Guild at the Durham Bottling Co in Downtown Durham. \nThis art show will contain original pieces created by North Carolina Veterans of the United States Armed Forces. This family-friendly event will showcase art from North Carolina veterans of all backgrounds\, art levels\, and branches of service. \nThe hours to view the artwork are as follows:\nThursday\, Nov 14th\, 1 pm – 7 pm\nFriday\, Nov 15th\, 1 pm – 8 pm – During Third Friday Art Walk and Gallery Crawl\nSaturday\, Nov 16th\, 1 pm – 7 pm\nSunday\, Nov 17th\, 1 pm – 5 pm \nJoin us to celebrate and appreciate original military veterans’ artwork. \nIf you have any questions please contact Isabella Brezenski\nat 919 200 0886 or via email at isabella@thejoelfund.org.

SUMMARY:The Day You Painted The Stars
DESCRIPTION:The Day You Painted The Stars has been imagined to be a dance and multidisciplinary performance experience exploring the relationship with your shadow self. The work was created in response to processing grief. With the use of meditation and traveling through the subconscious\, choreographer\, Diana Mighdoll Hoffmaster\, found a means to honor her grief. The work explores how grief inhabits your body\, how it moves through it and leaves a mark to stay. \nChoreography by Diana Mighdoll Hoffmaster \nAdditional performers and collaborators include Alexandra Burchette\, Masha Dashkina Maddux\, Sarah Muti\, Jennifer Scully-Thurston\, and Scott Young.
