DESCRIPTION:October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we are celebrating life and survivorship with dancing\, music\, and friends. \nRelax\, have fun & get some great exercise at this FREE social dance class. Learn on your own or with a friend. Enjoy a group class taught by ComMotion’s artistic Director\, Andre Avila\, followed by social dancing. No experience necessary! \nComMotion – Community in Motion is a 501(c)3 non-profit with the mission of building community and improving well-being through adaptive and inclusive movement. We provide dance\, fitness\, and martial arts workshops for all ages and abilities. Our programs for cancer survivors create a fun community for survivors to connect\, laugh\, and exercise. \nComMotion – Community in Motion is supported by United Arts Wake County as well as the N.C. Arts Council\, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.

SUMMARY:Burning Coal presents Copenhagen
DESCRIPTION:COPENHAGEN\, directed by Jerome Davis\, is a three-person play that provides a fictional account of the meeting between physicists Werner Heisenberg and Niels Bohr at Bohr’s home in Copenhagen in 1941 during the throes of World War II. Heisenberg and Bohr\, accompanied by Bohr’s wife Margrethe\, revisit their personal and professional entanglements throughout decades of war\, turmoil\, and scientific advancement. The trio reenacts and simultaneously analyzes their infamous gathering\, weaving in and out of various points in their shared past. For Heisenberg and Bohr\, the question will always remain: what will come of the decisions we made? \nCOPENHAGEN will run October 10th – 27th\, 2024\, at the Murphey School\, located at 224 Polk Street\, Raleigh\, NC 27604. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. All tickets are $30\, or $25 for seniors (65+) or $20 (students\, teachers\, active military).
