Space Requirements

Any stage or auditorium space with a seating area in front for students (aisles, rows), and standard 12ft ceilings (indoors). Covered space if possible for outside performances.

Tech Requirements

30-minute setup time. A preference of one microphone to accommodate the audience and a sound system with 5 mics/stands if it is outdoors.

Fee Structure

$750 for a single 40 min to 1 hour performance
$1,250 for up to two 40 min to 1 hour performances within a three hour time frame in Wake County

Add on a third show for an additional fee

Endless Possibilities! Music and Culture with DEGREES OF BRASS

Degrees of Brass offers an inventive and exciting program with an educational focus on music. Students will enjoy an exciting musical journey filled with activities, audience participation and more! Using music of all ages (Baroque to the Beatles, Music of Kids to Adults) making emotional and experiential connections is the goal. Students of all ages will interact with Q/A, demonstrations, fun antics, and especially become part of the performance. Degrees of Brass offers a variety of educational programs that promote student learning through the arts. The primary program involves introducing the brass family of instruments while covering other subjects such as, history, science, math, etc. Our other educational programs include; experiencing science with motion, sound, and astronomy; experience math through rhythm, form, statistics, and the experience economy; experience the subject of reading, writing, and interpretation; experience history through any period of history you are currently studying; and experience community, culture, and connecting with one another through the arts. Our performances connect directly to the North Carolina Standard course of study for general music K-5 curriculum.

Artist Background

DEGREES OF BRASS includes members of all backgrounds and professions that include: College professors, Music Ministers, Military members, and more. Together they believe in being light hearted and fun with education and a cultural experience in mind. Combined they many degrees from some of the top universities in the country (in and out of North Carolina). They also break the norm of the traditional musical group to develop their diverse material WITH the educator into a performance that can follow many paths. We love working with creative and ‘out of the box’ educators!
