The United Arts Council of Raleigh & Wake County is pleased to announce that it is a sponsor of NC’s second statewide Arts and Education Conference. “North Carolina: the State of the Arts: A Statewide Conference Addressing the Arts in 21st Century Learning” will be held in Raleigh at Meredith College March 5 - 7, 2009.

We would like to invite you to submit a proposal to present a 1.5 or 3-hour presentation at the Conference. You will find a Request for Proposal form linked below. Proposals are due by 5:00 pm on Friday, September 19, 2008.

Based upon the overwhelming success of the 2007 Arts and Education Conference in Charlotte, we anticipate over 500 arts professionals, educators, policy makers, parents and business representatives to join us for the Conference. The Conference will focus on the timely and very relevant theme of Imagination, Creativity and Innovation: Educating Children for Their Future.

The Conference is being sponsored by the NC Arts Council, the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County and Meredith College in collaboration with Arts North Carolina, A+ Schools Program at UNC Greensboro, the NC Department of Public Instruction, the NC Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and the Wake County Public School System.
