United Arts Council Announces New Grant Categories for 2006-2007 Funding Cycle

Following adoption of a new strategic plan in June 2005, the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County announces new grant categories for the 2006-2007 funding cycle. Grants will be made in the areas of Arts in Education; Youth Arts Programming; Community Arts; and Festivals. These grant categories have been designed to encourage and increase support for arts programming and arts education throughout Wake County.

Guidelines for the upcoming grants cycle will be available in early December, detailing eligibility and requirements for applicants.

The deadline for these grant applications is Monday, March 13, 2006. This is not a postmarked deadline. Required workshops begin in January. See the grant guidelines for dates and times. A complete calendar of dates for new applicants, workshops, meetings and application process dates are included in the PDF file below.

Support will also be made available for both seed funding and arts service organizations in 2006-2007. Applications for funding from arts service organizations will also have a deadline of March 6, 2005. Application for seed funding for 2006-2007 may be made at any time during that fiscal year, beginning July 1, 2006 for programming scheduled before June 30, 2007, and assuming sufficient lead time for review of request and execution of programming.
