Community Programs
The Community Arts Reach (CAR) program is a partnership between United Arts, local governments and their Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources departments, and community volunteers. This program assists towns in providing high quality, professional cultural arts programs for children and adults. Last year, arts events through the CAR program reached over 50,000 people in eleven municipalities, from Apex to Zebulon.
The GlaxoSmithKline East Wake Residency, developed in 1988, fosters partnership between the arts, local government, communities, education and business to serve all citizens of eastern Wake County by providing a high quality, culturally diverse arts and educational experience.
