Elizabeth “Liz” Hume is an emerging artist from Franklin, TN, outside of Nashville. Inspired by the world around her, Ms. Hume traded in her day job and attended Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. Her work has been exhibited throughout middle Tennessee, including the Gallery Café in Springhill, the Maury County Arts Guild in Columbia, and the Frist Center in Nashville. Her paintings are in private collections in Minnesota, Florida, Arizona, New Jersey and Tennessee, including several portrait commissions. “Whether I am admiring Nature’s grandeur--like in Alaska or Switzerland, or Nature’s simplicity-- like in a beautiful apple or pear, I want to recreate those experiences for myself and for others.” Ms. Hume recently moved to Raleigh; the Wake County Commissioners office is her first exhibition in the area.
